Mrs.

Principal position and is expected to begin on October 7, 2013.
Mr.
Andy Green will take over the Middle School Mathematics teaching position as
soon as the district secures an exceptional Kindergarten teacher.
Mrs.
Amy Wright was hired for the Great Start Readiness Preschool teaching position.
The program will officially begin October 7, 2013 with home visits scheduled
for the week of October 1.
Letters
of appreciation have been mailed to Deb Malone, Assistant, Kelly Woelmer,
Teacher, and Larry Murdock, Golf Coach. They have served the district’s
students for many years and I appreciate their commitment to the Ida Public
Schools. The Board of Education accepted their resignations.
Mrs.
Shelley Schlump highlighted the Ida Public Schools’ Annual Report for 2012-2013.
The full report is available on the district website www.idaschools.org.
The
District will qualify for at least 7 of the 8 Best Practices as outlined by the
Department of Education which will ensure that Ida receives an additional $52
per student.
The
Board of Education approved the bid from Applied Imaging to convert student
records from paper files to an electronic format for a total cost of
$16,664.69. The conversion is necessary because mold was discovered on many of
the records.
The cross
country team will have a home meet for the first time in over 15 years. A
special Thank You goes to the Mathes Tree Farm for hosting the event on behalf
of Ida Public Schools. Please come out and support our runners on October 1,
2013 at 5:00 p.m.
Once
approved, the meeting minutes are posted on the district web-site at
